Free classes
- Senior Planet from AARP: AI classes
- Free live online classes like Intro to AI, Everyday Uses of AI, and Intro to Chatting with AI. Join online or by phone. AARP membership is not required.
- Senior Planet from AARP: all free tech classes
- A full calendar of free technology classes, online and in person in several cities.
- AARP Events
- Free virtual and local events, including state chapter tech workshops on AI. A free AARP.org account is needed to register.
Free one-on-one help
- Senior Planet Tech Hotline
- Free tech help by phone at 888-713-3495. Weekdays 9am to 8pm and Saturdays 9am to 2pm, Eastern time.
- Cyber-Seniors
- A nonprofit offering free tech help and webinars for older adults, often taught by young volunteers.
Scam help and reporting
- AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline
- Free help if you think you have been targeted: 877-908-3360, weekdays 8am to 8pm Eastern. Open to everyone.
- AARP: How to protect yourself against AI scams
- Clear advice on voice clones, deepfakes, and fake messages.
- FTC: ReportFraud.ftc.gov
- Report a scam to the Federal Trade Commission.
- FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center
- Report online fraud, especially if you lost money. People 60+ can call the DOJ Elder Justice Hotline at 1-833-372-8311 for help filing.
